Description

Playcode is an interactive installation designed to activate the admiralty stairwell. Drawing upon its history as a naval base, the ways in which the base communicated with its network of ships using Morse code and upon the ways in which contemporary passengers (in the same space) largely communicate through their phones, Playcode opens up opportunities for decoding in¬teracting and extracting information using handheld devices. It is designed to encourage play and interaction, to capture the spirit of the MTR and to allude to Admiralty’s history.
